The software sits silently in the background until I decide to activate it. So far it does not look like a Scam to me. This is why a lot of people thought this was a Scam. It has all the "slick" gimmicks that makes you feel like a fool after you hit the "Buy Now" button. The thing I don't like about this company's approach is the over-the-top Marketing scheme they used to market this product. This is one of the reasons why I will keep it for a while and see what happens. However, the software does come with some unique features most which I could have done on my own, but ScanGuard makes it push-button convenient. To me the scan is kind of slow, certainly not as fast as Super antispyware. After the latest updates were finished, my computer was back to normal and I could access all of my web browsers. At first right after I downloaded the software I noticed that all my web Browsers(3 of them) were locked ! I was ready to un-install the program when a pop-up box from ScanGuard came up stating that they were performing the latest updates. I got mine for $29 (recurring) annual fee. To my surprise, ScanGuard found issues (mostly tracking cookies) that were not found with the other packages. I like to keep my computer clean and detest tracking cookies even though they are so-called "harmless". I could always get my money back if I didn't like it.
